Man arrested in attempted robbery at Liliha construction site
Police on Tuesday arrested a 31-year-old Kaneohe man, one of two suspects in an attempted robbery of a generator from a Liliha road construction site in October.
The man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
Police said the other suspect is unknown and possibly a man.
On Oct. 30, two suspects entered a road construction job site in two separate vehicles. One of the suspects wearing a mask covering his head created a diversion by ramming a construction company vehicle, while the other suspect grabbed a portable generator and placed in the back of his pickup truck.
A 37-year-old man tried to stop the man from taking the generator, so the other suspect drove directly toward him, causing him to jump out of the way, police said.
A construction worker then took the generator back.
