Charter school task force to meet again this morning
The state’s charter school task force is holding its second meeting at the state Capitol today.
The Charter School Governance, Accountability, and Authority Task Force is scheduled to meet in conference room 225 at 10 a.m.
Legislation enacted this year set up the panel to study issues of governance, accountability, and authority at charter schools. The law aims to have the task force make clear the relationships, responsibilities, and lines of accountability within the charter school system.
The task force plans to hold several meetings this year. Afterward, the panel is expected to submit a report of findings and recommendations to lawmakers before the next legislative session begins in January.
