Philippine Consulate team in Hilo today

HILO >> The Philippine Consulate outreach team will be in Hilo Monday to help process Philippine passports and applications for a number of services.

The Hawaii Tribune Herald reports that Deputy Consul General Paul Raymund Cortes and Honolulu staff members will be at the Aupuni Center Conference Room to answer questions and concerns about Philippine-related issues.

Officials will also accept applications for dual citizenship, delayed registration of birth, report of marriage abroad and other consular services.

With the consulate coming to Hilo only once a year, Filipino and Filipino-American citizens of Hawaii County are encouraged to submit applications on Monday.

The consular outreach allows neighbor island applicants to avoid the expenses involved in travelling to submit applications in person.
