Police looking for suspect in brutal Waikiki beating


 

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking assistance in locating a suspect who brutally assaulted a California man outside a Waikiki hotel, leaving him with a fractured skull after trying to sell drugs to the victim and his friends.

The incident occurred on Friday, June 17, at approximately 1 a.m. as the victim and several friends were standing on the beach fronting the Outrigger Hotel. The suspect approached, offered to sell the group drugs, and became enraged when they refused. The suspect struck the victim several times, resulting in a fractured skull and bleeding in the brain.

The suspect, wanted for first-degree assault, is estimated to be 18 to 20 years old, 5-foot, 7-inches to 6-foot, 1- inch tall, 140 to 175 pounds. He has a goatee and light mustache, and was wearing a black shirt, long blue denim pants, and had white gauges in both ears.
