SEATTLE >> No offense, Warriors, but University of Washington head football coach Steve Sarkisian says Saturday’s game is all about the Huskies.

Embarrassed by the closeness of the Huskies’ 30-27 escape from Division I-AA Eastern Washington last week, Sarkisian said Saturday’s nonconference meeting with UH at Husky Stadium is about Washington recovering its identity.

"I firmly believe that this game is much more about us than Hawaii," Sarkisian said at his weekly press conference today.

"That’s by no means any disrespect to Hawaii," Sarkisian said. "They are a tremendous football team and program. Coach (Greg) McMackin has done a great job. But this game is about us getting right; getting back to the brand and the style of football that we are accustomed to. And, that is a physical brand and one that we believe in in all three phases with the energy, enthusiasm and effort that it takes to play that brand."

"That," Sarkisian said, "will be the focus of this week."
