Skateboarder critically injured in crash with HandiVan in Salt Lake
An 11-year-old skateboarder was critically injured just before 5 p.m. Monday after he collided with a Handi-Van in Salt Lake.
An Emergency Medical Services supervisor said the boy was taken to a trauma center in critical condition.
According to EMS radio communication, the Handi-Van driver did not see the boy, who struck the side of the Handi-Van, and suffered an open skull fracture and a left leg injury.
The accident occurred in the area of 3504 Likini St.
