An 18-year-old Maili man suspected in a serious beating case turned himself in at police headquarters Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the man assaulted a boy, 16, who is now dating his ex-girlfriend, on Sept. 27 about 2 p.m. The victim was left unconconscious for a time and sustained substantial but undisclosed injuries.
The suspect is being held pending a charge of first-degree assault.
