9 people, including 5 juveniles, arrested in Waikiki robbery

Honolulu police arrested nine people, including five juveniles, in connection with a robbery in Waikiki early Saturday morning.

The other suspects surrounded the victim and demanded money in return for the phone. The suspects scattered when they heard police sirens, however officers were later able to locate and arrest them for second-degree robbery. Two of the suspects were also found to possess marijuana and face additional charges of third-degree promoting detrimental drugs.

The suspects include one 19-year-old man, three 18-year-old men, two 17-year-old boys, and three boys age 14, 15, and 16.
