» The Department of Education advised the Board of Education to hold a public hearing to get community input on possibly closing Likelike Elementary School. A Page D1 story Sunday and a list on D2 said the school was recommended for closure.

» Hawaii’s population age 65 and older is expected to grow to about 327,000 by 2030. Sunday’s editorial on Page F2 listed the age as 85 and older.

» Kauai Community College hopes to offer Leeward Community College’s motorcycle safety education program to the public by the beginning of January. The program will also expand to Maui College and Hawaii Community College by June. A Page B5 story on Oct. 9 stated the program recently opened at Kauai Community College and that it will expand to Maui College and Hawaii Community College by the end of the year.
