No. 7 Hawaii wins 17th straight in volleyball

Senior hitter Chanteal Satele celebrated her birthday with a career-high 15 kills and senior hitter Kanani Danielson added 14 as No. 7 Hawaii swept San Jose State 25-17, 25-20, 25-19 today in a Western Athletic Conference volleyball match in San Jose, Calif.

Freshman libero Lizzie Blake had 13 digs to help the Rainbow Wahine (22-1, 10-0 WAC) win their 17th straight. The host Spartans (9-14, 4-6) got 12 kills from Savanah Leaf.

Hawaii continues its three-matches-in-five-days road trip at Fresno State Thursday. The Wahine play at Nevada Saturday.
