Police arrested Aiea High School’s head football coach Tuesday for allegedly assaulting a man earlier this month.

Police said Wendell Say, 55, was arguing with another man, 35, in Aiea about 6:15 p.m. on Oct. 9 when he threatened the man with bodily harm, then physically assaulted the man.

Say, of a Wahiawa address, was arrested at the main police station Tuesday on suspicion of second-degree assault and second-degree terroristic threatening. He was released pending further investigation.
