Wahiawa physician Dennis Ayon said in state court today that the woman accusing him of hiring her to kill his ex-girlfriend was a difficult, high-maintenance patient who touched him inappropriately during appointments.

“She would say, ‘I love you, I love you, I love you. I’ve always loved you. Why didn’t you call me?'” he said.

He said the patient, Linda Moore, also invited him for dinners at her apartment “for her good cooking.”

Ayon, 49, is on trial in Circuit Court on a charge of criminal solicitation to commit murder.

His lawyer said Moore made up the story of Ayon hiring her to kill his ex-girlfriend. Her motive, he said, was to get back at Ayon for rejecting her romantic advances.
