State football D-II bracket set
Pearl City, which lost 9-7 to Waipahu in the OIA White (Division II) championship Friday, will play the Kauai Interscholastic Federation champion in the opening round of the HHSAA Division II state football championship next Saturday on Kauai.
In the other first-round game, Lahainaluna will play host to the champion from the Big Island Interscholastic Federation.
Interscholastic League of Honolulu D-II champion ‘Iolani and Oahu Interscholastic Association White champion Waipahu have first-round byes.
The Pearl City-KIF winner will play ‘Iolani Nov. 19 at ‘Iolani. The Lahainaluna-BIIF winner will play Waipahu at an Oahu site to be determined.
