Hawaii remains at No. 6 in volleyball poll

The Hawaii women’s volleyball team, which has won its last 21 matches, remained at No. 6 in today’s AVCA Coaches Division I Top 25. 

 

The Rainbow Wahine (26-1) received six first-place votes, the most this season.

USC (22-4) jumped three spots to No. 1 with 41 votes. UCLA (23-4) slipped to No. 2 with California (25-4) up three spots to No. 3.

Nebraska (21-3) and Stanford (20-5) both fell two spots, the Huskers to No. 4 and the Cardinal to No. 5. Rounding out the Top 10 are Illinois (24-3), Purdue (24-3), Texas (18-4) and Washington (19-7).

Hawaii has the week off and will open next week’s Western Athletic Conference tournament in Las Vegas as the top seed. The Wahine have bye into next Tuesday’s semifinal.
