Maui police said the body of a missing hiker man has been found at about 3:30 p.m. Monday in the rugged Maliko Gulch area near Haiku.

Police say the body has been identified as Tristan Brennan, 29, who has been missing since Friday.

An autopsy will be conducted. But police say they do not suspect foul play.

Maui firefighters resumed searching Maliko Gulch Monday morning after suspending the search Sunday night because of darkness.

Brennan’s girlfriend reported him missing on Friday. He was last seen walking along a pineapple field between 3 and 5 p.m.

Air and ground searches, which included 20 volunteers and three Maui detectives, were conducted in the Maliko Gulch in eastern Maui from the ocean to Kaluanui Road on Sunday.
