The suspect in the shooting of a 24-year-old man is in  police custody awaiting charges. Police said the Ewa Beach man turned himself in at the main police station at 8:40 Saturday night following tips to CrimeStoppers.

Police thanked the public for help in locating the suspect in an early morning shooting that left a 24-year-old man in critical condition at the Pali Momi Medical Center.

The shooting followed an argument in the Princess Palace strip club that continued in the back parking lot of the Pearl City Business Plaza on 803 Kamehameha Highway shortly after 2 a.m., police said.

As one of the men involved in the argument drove off, he fired five shots toward two men, both 24, from his dark-colored pickup truck with the design of a colored, full-sized joker on the hood, police said.

The second man was not injured.

The shots may have come from a semi-automatic pistol, police said.

The suspect, described as 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, 160 to 180 pounds, with a crew cut, fled west on Kamehameha Highway.
