Police arrested a 25-year-old Kaneohe man who allegedly assaulted his girlfriend early Tuesday morning in Kahaluu.
Witnesses told police they saw a man beating a woman near Ahuimanu Highway and Kahekili Highway about 1:45 a.m., and then saw the woman head toward the Hygenic Store.
Police also received call from a woman at an Ahaolelo Road address who said a woman, 27, came to her house asking for help and said she was beaten by her boyfriend. Paramedics took the victim to Castle Medical Center for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
The suspect was arrested a short time later in the area on suspicion of second-degree assault.
