A police SWAT team surrounded the Taco Del Mar restaurant in Waipio for several hours Thursday, but when they entered, no one was inside.

Police received a report that a man in his 40s had barricaded himself in the Taco Del Mar restaurant at 94-1331 Ka Uka Blvd at 5:04 p.m.  The SWAT team arrived, the area was evacuated and attempts were made to contact anyone in the restaurant.

When police finally entered the Waipio restaurant, they found no one inside.

The area was reopened at 10:30 p.m
