Hawaiian Airlines, ANA launch code-share and frequent flier program

Hawaiian Airlines and ANA, the largest carrier in Japan, have expanded their code-sharing agreement to include passenger flights in Japan and Hawaii and mileage-earning benefits for members of their respective frequent flier programs.

Starting Thursday, ANA customers will be able to book connecting flights on Hawaiian between Honolulu and Kona, Lihue, Hilo and Kahului through ANA, the airlines announced today.

In addition, Hawaiian will place its flight code on ANA-operated flights between Tokyo’s Haneda International Airport and Honolulu, as well as flights that connect to Hawaiian’s own daily Haneda service from Chitose, Osaka (Itami), Osaka (Kansai), Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Oita, Kagoshima and Okinawa, enabling its customers to book these flights directly through Hawaiian.

Hawaiian and ANA began cargo code-sharing in December 2010. Under this agreement, ANA placed its “NH” code on Hawaiian’s daily Haneda-Honolulu service.

ANA and Hawaiian started a joint frequent flier program on Dec. 28. With this partnership, ANA Mileage Club members can earn and redeem miles on all Hawaiian-operated neighbor island flights. At the same time, Hawaiian’s HawaiianMiles members can earn and redeem miles on all ANA-operated code-share flights.
