Maui firefighters extinguish fire at Kula warehouse
A fire burned a part of a small warehouse Monday night in Lower Kula, Maui.
Fire spokesman Lee Mainaga said the fire at 658 Piliwale Road was isolated to the primary heat exhaust for a coffee roaster.
Firefighters cut the chimney to gain better access to the fire and put out the blaze.
The fire was under control in 23 minutes and extinguished 38 minutes after firefighters received the initial call at 4:51 p.m.
Mainaga said the cause of the fire, including its estimated damage, was under investigation.
