Fireworks suspected as cause of Molokai brush fire
Investigators found an incendiary device made of fireworks at the scene of a brush fire in Molokai and have opened an arson case, a Maui Fire Department spokesman said.
The brush fire on the side of Kalae Highway in Kualapuu burned about 100 feet of brush next to the road. Firefighters found two “flower bloom with report” fireworks taped together at the scene.
Police are investigating.
