Vermont National Guard troops Hawaii-bound to help with F-22 training
SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. >> Members of the Vermont Air National Guard are heading to Hawaii for a 17-day mission.
About 200 members as well as F-16 jets will support air defense training for the Hawaii Air National Guard.
The Vermont Air Guard will act as aggressor aircraft challenging the Hawaii Air National Guard’s F-22 jets.
Guard members are flying to Arizona today and on to Hawaii on Friday.
