Hawaii sweeps Pacific in men’s volleyball
Senior hitter Steven Hunt put down at match-high 14 kills and freshman opposite Taylro Averill added 10 to lead No. 14 Hawaii to at 25-21 25-22, 25-19 victory over No. 12 Pacific in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s volleyball match tonight in Stockton, Calif.
The Warriors (6-5, 3-3 MPSF) also got six blocks from senior Jarrod Lofy and two aces from freshman hitter J.P. Marks.
Adam Troy led the Tigers (3-7, 1-4) with 10 kills.
Hawaii returns home to host UC Irvine (7-2, 3-2) next Friday and Sunday at the Stan Sheriff Center.
