A motorcycle involved in a crash on Wilikina Drive near Schofield Barracks lies by the side of the road this morning.

Speed is blamed for a motorcycle crash early this morning that sent a 35-year-old Mililani man to the Queen’s Medical Center in critical condition.

Police said the man, driving a 2011 black Harley Davidson, lost control of his motorcycle just past the Funston Gate on Wilikina Drive near Schofield Barracks just before 1 a.m.

Police said the man was speeding while traveling north on Wilikina when he hit a concrete barrier and was ejected from the motorcycle.

Police said the man was not wearing a helmet. The accident happened in light traffic and clear weather.

Police closed Wilikina Drive between McNair and McComb gates for about 2 hours while they investigated the crash.
