UH women’s basketball team loses at Utah State
Kamilah Jackon’s 15th double-double of the season was not enough for the Hawaii women’s basketball team, which fell 85-64 today in a Western Athletic Conference game at Utah State.
UH (11-17, 6-7 WAC) closes out the regular season at Idaho on Saturday.
The Wahine trailed from the outset, but made several runs at the second-place Aggies (19-8, 10-3) in the second half. However, UH was fended off each time, never getting within single digits after trailing by 17 at halftime.
The closest it got after that was 61-50 when Vicky Tagalicod made a layup for UH.
Jackson had 17 points and 11 rebounds off the bench. Breanna Arbuckle had a team-high 18 points, but committed six of UH’s 20 turnovers.
USU got 23 points from Devyn Christenson, 21 points and 10 rebounds from forward Ashlee Brown and 19 points from Brooke Jackson.
