Hiding suspect arrested at Wahiawa church

Officers investigating a break-in at a Wahiawa church caught a suspect hiding in a room at the church with burglary tools Monday, police said.

Officers went to St. Stephens Episcopal Church on California Avenue at about 5 p.m. When they arrived they found evidence of a forced entry and a search of the church led to the suspect, a 42-year-old man with no local address, hiding in a room, police said.

Officers arrested the man on suspicion of second-degree burglary.
