Hawaii island drivers urged to avoid Route 250 in Kohala

The Hawaii County Police Department advises motorists to avoid Route 250/9mm, between Kohala Ranch and Waiaka Bridge, because of a traffic accident.

The accident near Kohala Mountain Road will cause traffic backups and detours for the next four hours, or until about 8 p.m. Traffic is being re-routed through Kohala Ranch.
