Police arrested a man and a woman who allegedly tried to cash a check from a restricted account at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Friday.

Police said a woman, 26, walked into a bank at the base and attempted to cash a check on a restricted account about noon Friday. Police were called and the woman was detained. A 24-year-old man believed to be the woman’s accomplice was arrested in the bank parking lot. 

Both were arrested on suspicion of second-degree theft. The man additionally was arrested on contempt charges.
