UH coaches have full confidence in Punahou graduate Cayman Shutter to run the Warriors' scout-team offense.

Hawaii quarterback Cayman Shutter will receive a "significant suspension" for his recent arrest on suspicion of drunken driving, head coach Norm Chow said Sunday night.

Chow said he will meet with Shutter today, and the specifics will be announced at a news conference before Tuesday’s practice. The Warriors were on hiatus last week because of UH’s spring break. They do not practice on Monday.

Chow said Shutter served as a host during the recruiting period and was instrumental in helping the Warriors sign several prospects. But Chow said he takes "serious" the DUI arrest and it "is something I do not condone."

Shutter was arrested at 3:30 a.m. on Thursday. He was released an hour later after posting a $500 bail.

Chow was on a family trip in China last week. He returned to Hawaii Saturday.
