Police arrested a 39-year-old Waianae man after he allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend Friday morning.
According to police, the victim, a 21-year-old man, was sitting in his vehicle when the suspect tried to assault him with a metal pipe. The victim escaped through the passenger-side door.
Police located the suspect at his nearby home and arrested him on suspicion of unauthorized entry into a motorized vehicle, protection order violation and contempt of court.
The victim suffered minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene.
