Fire damaged the back room of a 1,000-square-foot office in Wailuku Monday.
The fire caused $10,000 in damage to the structure and $1,000 to its contents, Fire Services Chief Lee Mainaga said.
Three Maui fire companies responded to the 5:52 p.m. alarm at 1972 Wells St. and discovered the back room, the exterior wall and roof on fire.
Firefighters brought the fire under control by 6:12 p.m.
The office is a converted house, Mainaga said.
The cause of the fire was undetermined after an investigation, he said.
