Man arrested for bicycle theft after stop for biking violations
A 44-year-old Kalihi man was arrested Wednesday after bicycle detail officers stopped him for biking violations in Waikiki and found his bike had been reported stolen.
Officers initiated the stop for two violations about 3:45 p.m. near Kalakaua and Kapahulu avenues, police said. Dispatch reported the bicycle was stolen and had been bought for $439.99. The man was arrested for investigation of second-degree theft.
