New Orleans or Honolulu could host if there’s a 2013 Pro Bowl
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell today said “New Orleans and Honolulu are the two sites” still under consideration for the Pro Bowl if the game is held in 2013.
Goodell’s statement came at a press conference after the conclusion of the owners’ spring meeting today in Atlanta where the game’s future was discussed but no action announced.
Goodell said, “I hope to be making a decision pretty quickly” after talking with the NFL Players Association.
Asked if New Orleans was the likely site in the event the game is held, Goodell said, “No, I wouldn’t say that.”
He said, “that we have to improve the quality of the game. If we can’t improve it and we can’t make it more competitive, then we shouldn’t play it.”
