Roundup of fugitives nets 56 in Hawaii wanted on felony warrants

Federal and local authorities said they took 56 individuals into custody during a five-day roundup of fugitives that ended Sunday.

The arrests were the result of  a cooperative effort by 20 officers of the U.S. Marshals Service Adam Walsh Task Force, Hawaii Fugitive Task Force, the state Sheriffs Office  and the city Prosecutor’s Office.

The U.S. Marshal’s Office said 74 felony warrants were cleared.

The felony arrest warrants involved crimes such as assault, robbery, burglary, theft, weapons violations, drug offenses, and probation and parole violations.
