KITV is back on Oceanic after parent companies reach a deal

An agreement has been reached between New York-based Hearst Television and Time Warner Cable Inc. that allowed KITV to return to Oceanic cable today at about 3:30 p.m.

Oceanic Cable said on Twitter: “Great news! Time Warner has reached a long-term agreement with Hearst. Customers can expect their signals to be restored shortly”

KITV, the ABC-TV affiliate in Honolulu, had not been available on Oceanic cable since July 10.
