Man who died after jumping from McCully Street bridge is identified
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office identified today the man who jumped onto the H-1 freeway from the McCully Street bridge as Jason Kelly Williams.
The office said Williams, 39, died of multiple blunt force injuries due to a suicidal fall from a height.
A hometown for Williams was not available.
Police said Williams had been standing on the McCully Street overpass and jumped into traffic on the freeway below about 3:40 p.m. Monday.
The Koko Head-bound lanes of H-1 were closed for about four hours, snarling afternoon traffic, as police investigated.
