AT&T says wireless phone service restored in Hawaii
AT&T wireless phone service was restored at 10 Wednesday morning following a three-hour interruption that affected voice, data and message services, a company spokeswoman in San Diego reported.
Anna Crowe, AT&T spokeswoman, said the phone company is “still investigating the root cause of the interruption.”
She said she didn’t know how many AT&T customers in Hawaii were affected following the interruption that began around 7 a.m.
“Service is running normally now,” Crow said.
There are no immediate plans to reimburse customers for the lost service until it is determined what caused the interruption, Crowe added,
