Pennsylvania company wins $60M contract to provide steel rails to Honolulu
A $60 million contract for the steel rail, concrete ties, direct fixation fasteners, third rail with accessories and special trackwork, for the Honolulu Rail Transit project has been awarded to Pennsylvania-based L.B. Foster Co.
It is the largest rail products contract in L.B. Foster’s history and was awarded by contractor Kiewit/Kobayashi, a Joint Venture.
The L.B. Foster statement announcing the contract describes it as having been awarded for the county-wide construction of the Honolulu Rail Transit project.
