Phase Two of Ward Village Shops was announced this morning by The Howard Hughes Corp., which operates the Ward complex.

The phase will encompass a new 57,000 square-foot, two-story retail center along Auahi Street, designed to continue the revitalization of Kakaako. It also paves the way for further redevelopment, the company said in a statement.

Construction on Phase Two will begin later this month. The new development will front the new parking structure and will be adjacent to the recently opened T.J. Maxx. Phase Two is to open in the fall of 2013.

Retail tenants have yet to be announced.
