The University of Hawaii announced the signing of a forward and point guard as final two players from this year’s recruiting class for women’s basketball.
Their signings give new coach Laura Beeman seven newcomers — four freshmen and three transfers.
The latest signees are freshmen Marissa Wimbley and Brianna Higgins. UH said Higgins is a 6-foot-1 post player from Foothill High School in Henderson, Nev.
Last year she averaged 13.7 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. Wimbley, a 5-6 point guard from Elk Grove, Calif., averaged 14.8 points, 3.0 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.3 steals per game.
