An officer discovered two "Molotov cocktails" in the front seat of a vehicle after a routine traffic stop in Ewa Beach and arrested the driver, police said.

The officer pulled the 33-year-old man over at about 5 p.m. Saturday at Kalapu and Komana streets on a routine traffic stop and noticed two open bottles next to the driver. At first, the bottles appeared to be beer, but upon closer inspection the officer noticed they were explosive devices, police said.

The man did not give police an address. Police arrested him for possession of a prohibited explosive device and two outstanding arrest warrants.
