Man reports being kidnapped, forced to pay expensive bar tab
A man reported that he was kidnapped and robbed in the Ala Moana area early Sunday morning, Honolulu police said.
The 31-year-old man told police that around 3:30 a.m. today five men approached him while he was drinking at a bar and handed him a $2,400 bar tab, according to police records.
When the victim refused to pay, the five men allegedly took him to an ATM and forced him to pay, police said.
Police are investigating. No arrests have been made.
