Text messages to stepdaughter spark violent argument, police say
A 30-year-old Waianae man is accused of slapping his stepdaughter and breaking her nose because he was upset over what he believed were inappropriate text messages she had received.
Police said the two got into an argument over the text messages on May 31. During the argument the step-father allegedly slapped his daughter on the face several times breaking her nose.
The stepfather turned himself into police Tuesday morning and was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault.
