SPIbelt small personal item belt

COURTESY TRIPADVISOR.COM

» What it is: An adjustable belt with a highly stretchable pouch and a quick-release plastic buckle.

» How it works: Adjust the belt to your waist, tuck in whatever small items you want to take along and zip it closed.

» The good: Every once in a while you come across a piece of travel gear that is an unexpected superstar. This is one of them. You can go biking or hit the beach without schlepping a bunch of stuff or, God forbid, having to wear a fanny pack, the leisure suit of travel gear. The belt lets you tuck an ID, a credit card, camera, keys and cash, zip it up and forgot about it. You can even pull your shirttail over it so you don’t have "tourist" written all over you. It can easily hold your phone or wallet. It also would be great for runners.

» The bad: The pouch is flimsy when you take things out, so when retrieving a camera, always make sure your cards and money don’t slip out.

» Cost: $19.95
