Task force arrests fugitive on Maui for sexual assault of girl
A fugitive wanted on sexual assault charges in an attack on a girl under 14 years old was arrested in a three-day warrant sweep on Maui by the U.S. Marshals Hawaii Fugitive Task Force
Alan M. Santos, 49, was arrested Wednesday in Kahului on a $250,000 felony warrant for one count of first-degree sexual assault and two counts of third-degree sexual assault. Santos was being held at Maui Community Correctional Center.
In all, 66 fugitives were arrested in the Maui sweep Tuesday through Thursday by U.S. Marshals Hawaii Task Force, made up of police officers from Maui County, Kauai County and Hawaii County and Hawaii state sheriffs.
