Honolulu Police arrested a 13-year-old boy early this morning under suspicion of driving a stolen mo-ped and promoting dangerous drugs, according to police records.

Police said an officer spotted the mo-ped driver around 3:30 a.m. on Farrington Highway near Mailiili Road and pulled him over under suspicion of driving without a headlight.

The officer noticed the ignition of the mo-ped had been tampered with and the license number was that of a stolen moped, police said.

While conducting a routine search of the suspect, the officer also found a glass pipe containing apparent crystal methamphetamine residue in his pocket, police said.
