Persistent fire danger prompts another red flag warning for Hawaii
The National Weather Service issued a red flag warning this morning for the second consecutive day for all islands due to persistent dry conditions.
Although forecasters say there is a chance of showers for windward and mauka areas, moderate trade winds and low humidity present a fire risk, especially in drier leeward areas.
Trades are expected to diminish later this week. The red flag warning is in effect until 6 p.m.
