Small quake shakes Hawaii island
A small earthquake struck Hawaii island early Tuesday morning.
The magnitude-3.4 temblor hit at 4:23 a.m. about 2 miles south of Volcano at a depth of 2 miles, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The latest earthquake follows a string of small quakes that hit the island in August.
The U.S, Geological Survey’s Did You Feel It? website garnered only a few responses from Volcano residents who felt weak shaking.
No tsunami was generated and there were no reports of significant damage or injuries from the earthquake.
