Nanakuli man arrested for allegedly kidnapping ex-girlfriend and her daughter

A Nanakuli man was arrested at the Kapolei police station this morning after he allegedly kidnapped and terrorized a former lover and her child earlier this week.

Police said that at about 7 a.m. Tuesday, the man, 27, entered the woman’s vehicle and threatened both the woman, 34, and her daughter, 14. He then refused to let them leave the vehicle, police said.

The woman managed to escape the vehicle but the man allegedly drove off with the teenager still inside, police said. The suspect then released the girl, returned to the original scene and forcibly took the woman’s cell phone, police said.

The man was being held pending charges of two counts of kidnapping, second-degree terroristic threatening and second-degree robbery, as well as illegally entering and driving a vehicle.

Police said the man and woman are former intimate partners who had a child together, although it was not clear if that child is the second victim in the case.
