Police search for man who robbed neighborhood markets

The Honolulu Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the man who used a handgun to rob two markets in the Pearl City-Waipahu area within hours of each other last week.

On Oct. 9, the bandit first robbed the Pearl City Market at at 909 Lehua Ave. at 4:32 p.m.

Nearly two hours later at 6:15 p.m., the suspect robbed the Roadrunner Market in Waipahu at 94-266 Leoku St..

In both instances, the robber brandished a handgun and demanded money.
